Integral to providing quality services for children and young adults and their families using the family-centred approach is the delivery of services to school staff, including principals, managerial staff, teachers and education assistants.
These services may include:
- Individual, small group or classroom screenings in specific development areas such as fine motor skills, gross motor skills or speech and language skills addressing the development needs of children across the year groups, from early childhood (Kindergarten and Pre-primary) though to Year 12.
- Individual classroom consultations regarding a specific student already receiving therapy through Wize Therapy
- Group sessions integrated into the classroom structure targeting specific skill development for students pre-identified as requiring additional support
- Development of school programs in consultation with teaching staff to enhance a child’s classroom performance
- Workshops or information sessions to teaching staff or families of students at the school addressing the relevant developmental areas which affect academic learning.
